Where to Dump Clean Fill in the Treasure Valley
Hauling extra dirt a long way to a disposal site costs time and fuel. There may be a site that needs fill much closer to you, in Nampa, Caldwell, Kuna, Star, Middleton, or elsewhere in the valley. Dirt Trade helps you find it.
Post a HAVE listing
On dirttrade.app, create a HAVE listing that covers: - Material type (fill dirt, pit run, rock, topsoil, sand, etc.) - Approximate quantity - Location, at the city or cross-street level - Timing, and whether you can deliver or need it picked up
Contractors and property owners who posted NEED listings, or who are browsing, can contact you to work out a deal.
Check NEED listings too
Browse the NEED listings for a site near your project. A shorter haul can make the job simpler for both sides.
What "clean fill" usually means
People usually mean natural soil and rock with no trash, construction debris, concrete, asphalt, green waste, or contaminants. Describe your material honestly. If you're not sure what's in it, say so.
Be careful about where it goes
- Get the property owner's permission before dumping. Never dump on land without it.
- Fill, grading, and disposal can be regulated by your city, county, or the state. Rules vary across Ada and Canyon counties, so check with the local authority.
- Material that may be contaminated needs proper handling. Don't offer it as clean fill.

FAQ
Can I list fill that has some rock in it? Yes. Describe it accurately, for example "fill with cobble." Many sites are fine with rock.
Who pays for trucking? That's up to you and the other party. Settle it before any material moves.
Can I list concrete or asphalt? Don't list them as clean fill. If you post other materials, describe them clearly and follow local disposal rules.
